St. Agnes Branch School, Hijli Kharagpur started by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters in 1953 is a Minority Institution as per the Constitution of India, Article 30 (1). The school with a glorious history of 69 years is definitely an alma mater that all alumni look back to with fond memories. St. Agnes the patron saint of St. Agnes Branch School is a model of all that is pure and beautiful and is an inspiration to all the youth. The school has adopted the motto “ROOTED IN GOD TRANSFORM LIVES” wherein each individual who comes under the portal of the school is helped to develop a deep faith in God and transform lives.
Mother Mary Aloysia A.C. the pioneer of Apostolic Carmel Education said "Education is incomplete without the formation of Character". Therefore St.Agnes Branch School with its dedicated team of teachers and staff strives to offer integral holistic development for each student. A lot of impetus is laid on honing every aspect of a child's personality that works towards nurturing the child into a happy and well-equipped human being.
The web of our curriculum is dynamic and broad. We promote activity and competency-based learning combined with digital technology and experiential learning blending the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of pupils.
